Did Jesus quote from the Apocrypha?

The short answer is yes---and so did the Apostles.

Jesus and the Gospel writers referenced the Deuterocanonicals in the following instances:

Matthew 6:12, 14-15---"Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; if you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your heavenly father forgive your transgressions."
Sirach 28:2---"Forgive your neighbor's injustice; then when you pray, your own sins will be forgiven."

Luke 1:17 (describing John the Baptist)---"He will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of fathers towards children and the disobediant to the understanding of the righteous, to prepare a people fit for the Lord."
Sirach 48:10---"You are destined, it is written, in time to come, to put an end to wrath before the day of the Lord, to turn back the hearts of fathers towards their sons, and to re-establish the tribes of Jacob."

Luke 1:28, 1:42---"And coming to her, he said, 'Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you!'.....Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb."

2 Tim. 3:16 - the inspired Scripture that Paul was referring to included the deuterocanonical texts that the Protestants removed. The books Baruch, Tobit, Maccabees, Judith, Sirach, Wisdom and parts of Daniel and Esther were all included in the Septuagint that Jesus and the apostles used.

The wondering soul lost in the dark
How would I walk through the heaven’s arc
I stand before a sea of Gordian knot(s)
Untie only one, but I fear a foul shot
Which faith will lead to salvation
Which God will lead to elation
I ponder on my own creation
Why am I here; I need an explanation
One religion claiming superiority on another
They go against God’s law: to love all other
Win in one and you lose in another
There is no way you can go any further
Rise above the illusion and look at the whole
You will find the answer lying within your soul
God is one but is seen in countless faces
Call Him by any name; all he embraces
This is how it goes in one of Shakespear’s prose
“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other word would smell as sweet”
Call Him from your heart and He will meet
To drench your soul in eternal spiritual bath
Lead a life that follows the righteous path
Love unselfishly and do good deeds
Unselfish love is where heaven seeds
Become one with the sempiternal soul
There is where you will know your role
You will find yourself in Brahmananda bliss
And so, your religion is where your love is

My years as an adult-child has now sentenced me to a life as a child-like adult
Trying to reclaim what was never mine to own
Needing something to fill
The space in between
The gap that stands void
The bridge never built
To allow me to crossover to true maturity
Peace, love and happiness
And leave behind
Fear, apprehension, irresponsibility and dependence
Allowing me to live my life in truth………………..
Instead of fantasy
Reality and acceptance…………..
Instead of fear
Compromise………
Instead of submission
Fortitude…….
Instead of fragility
Sometimes I feel like I will break into a million little pieces
So I am silent when I should speak
Whisper when I should scream
Laugh to keep from crying
When the truth is, the tears would probably hydrate my dried up sense of reality
And bring me to a place where it is no longer out of reach or too heavy too bear
But my fear will not allow me to go there
Or even in that direction
I close my eyes and hope for the best, only to have gotten my foot stuck in a hole that I would have seen from a mile away

I choose to go blind in fear that the ability to see would kill me instantly

They say the world is like a snake that we perceive in a rope and hold fear for, but just as when the rope is SEEN AS IT IS the snake and fear vanishes all at once, so with the world, when the Eternal Truth is seen, how will you fear?

Pick up that cross of a body and hold it upright.
Be full of dignity, sweet Safiya!

Live in truth and the peace that comes from it.

Find out what is “true for you” – that is relative truth:
Find out what is “true for all” – that is absolute truth.

We live life as though it is a dream and we are a dream-figure in it. But I say unto you: Live like you are a lucid dreamer: Believe that your words/will will be fulfilled and it certainly will, by the Power of the Light.

The stream is not strong when it is being bent.
The beetle is not fortuitous when being held by the child…but appears supple and unmoving.

Break, if it is possible. Break down, and up, and left and right: All these chains that bind your mind are in and of themselves fragile – be strong in the truth, (and not degrading judgment), of who and how you are: for truly I say unto you, Safiya, unless you learn to love yourself, as well as love the God of the World, how shall you truly create love with another?

‘Among secrets: I am silence.’

Scream within – and cry often.

Laugh, but find the cry only diametrically opposed, but on the same emotional continuum.

You want truth, Safiya: Don’t keep from crying.
This will help you learn to be free.
Why laugh – is it so funny to be in denial of your own emotions?
Isn’t it true that your sense of reality is parched –
do you thirst for the safety and security to REALLY FEEL YOUR OWN HEART?

What do you fear? And are you able to ask the Great God for help…as it is said: ‘Ask and you shall receive.’ This allows God to fulfill our lives as the Answerer of true prayers.

It almost seems as though you are afraid of fear, that is facing it, and thus you are also afraid of going beyond fear, which is at present a fearful unknown. But Safiya: You said you were waiting – now I am waiting with you. Your chains are broken – arise, damsel, walk and dance in freedom and praise of your Master: Our God.

You have come this far…do not close your eyes while you are walking down the path: hope not in what is false but in what is true: verily, I say unto you: many are the snares on the path to Life – keep your eyes wide open.

With eyes wide, find your Eye – when you find the One Eye that sees through the twain you shall be filled with Light!

What is interesting is that your choice to go blind is what is killing you instantly… stop and think about that if you are interested in knowing how to look at the truth with fearlessness. Selah.

Maybe your Self is communicating with you…have you tried to explain this to yourself – to find that root problem and source-solution.

Live fully – to the fullest!!!

Satan is the personification of the brilliant being who is a construct of selfish-desires: the ego of man. Ishu, (who is known as Jesus Christ), taught that man could be reborn and become, (LIKE HIM & MORE!), born out of the ignorance and egoism of our parents - we shall become "Sons of Men".

I say:

When the "first humans" took nibbles off the tree of knowledge of good and evil: they were forwarned that should they do so, they would die. God is Good, and Goodness is Living and does not die. In order to die, one had to depart from God, who is the truth. Hence: (continuous) rebirth (and death) in these realm of mortals with, as you call it, a wide variation in the “difference in morality” between beings. [The snake didn’t really lie, but twisted the truth into higher and lower truths, or rather relative truths…Immortal Spirit cannot “die”, ever, unless it takes up the garb of the body, then Identifying itself with that body, by the power of “I am” one entertains, upon the death of the body: I am dead – then, later, I have died.] However, one is also reborn, until the cycle is disrupted by transcendental wisdom which conveys the Good News that: God, the Supreme and Eternal Creator, has taken up residence in your very own Heart and is Fully Present throughout the world.

I tell you true:

Good and Evil do not exist but upon Judgment. “Eat of this tree and you shall be like God,” said the snake, with his forked tongue, also saying: “Surely, ye shall not die.” But immediately they saw that they were naked, and they knew that they were mortal, with bodies – so they hid, knowing that they had done something other than what God, the Good, had commanded them. But God knew what had happened and how it was to transpire: for surely He is the All-Knowing, the Wise.

We have, by eating from the tree of knowledge, been made in Their Image: a being capable of Judgment and Mercy (through our compassionate understanding, having lived in the ‘skin’ for countless aeons).

Freewill creates all kinds of possibilities – especially for that which is called evil – due to the forces of ignorance – however, God’s will is unified, and drawing near to it one will understand that Good that is beyond the comprehension of men: the Superlative Good.

What happens, happens. If you judge it evil – you will avoid it. If you judge it good – you will cling to it. If you come to the point beyond Good and Evil – you will know God, the One who communes DIRECTLY with the Sons of Men, blessed may they be.

“Put, therefore, sadness away from thee, O most beloved of mankind, a thing which never in anywise benefits a man; and drive care away from thee, which brings with it no advantage whatsoever. For we have no resource or skill that can avail us-nothing but a great mind able to cope with the disasters and to endure the tribulations which we are always receiving at the hands of the times. For at these things does it behoove us to look, and not only at those which are fraught with rejoicing and good repute.”

**If you let yourself be free in joy and also free in sorrow, know that sorrow will loom upon you, sadness will tinge your days. Feel your sorrow, but seek joy – seek the bliss of immortality in the sacred chamber of the heart. What care shall ye have in the day to day strife and travails, ye who seek after the Kingdom Divine, which surely is within you and also all around you. One should become peaceful in all circumstances – this is the highest teaching.**

“Devote thyself to wisdom, the fount of all things good, the treasure that faileth not. There shalt thou lay thy head, and be at ease. For this shall be to thee father and mother, and a good companion for thy life.”

**Don’t mind that gold; don’t gawk at the bank notes. If you would come to wisdom – you will see money for what it is, and you will see that the real thing of value is neither metal, paper, nor mineral – but the Essential Truth of Your Own Nature. Thou shalt walk in the peace of YeHuWuH. Once you come to the fount of wisdom, you will drink from the source of understanding and imbibe the nectar of truth – unfiltered, undiluted. It will instruct thee, like a fruit on the tree of Spirit – it will be a Spiritual Master and Comforter unto thee…Forever.**

“Enter into closest intimacy with fortitude and patience, those virtues which are able successfully to encounter the tribulations that befall feeble men. For so great is their strength, that they are adequate to sustain hunger, and can endure thirst, and mitigate every trouble. With toil, moreover, yea even with dissolution, they make right merry.”

**A voice within speaks: “Be patient and kind.” Listen, O’ Swan, listen! Bear your encounter with the “problems of the world” with a mind in peaceful equipoise. Know the body as a temple – sweep it clean now and then. Toil in grand generosity, and dissolve all hatred, enmity and greed…make merry in the Spirit who loves kindness and benevolence, kinship and camaraderie. But, Beloved, make Acquaintance with the Friend WITHIN, and then, by and by, you shall know right merriment: the knowledge which cannot ever be stolen, gained by Grace and Sincerity – the Knowledge-Direct-Experience of Eternal Life.**

“…if thou resolve diligently to acquaint thyself with these things, first of all put a check on appetite, and set limits to that in which thou art indulging. Seek the power to refrain from being angry; and, instead of yielding to outbursts of passion, listen to the promptings of kindness.”

**Tell you true: Water, Fasting, Prayer, In-Silence, Meditation, & More. All these things will give you Divine Energy and Replenish you, cleansing your physical, emotional and mental temples, so to speak.

The Power to refrain from being angry is Control of the Senses and their Organs of Action, particularly the Tongue. The power to not be angry is won also by Resolute Dispassion gained by full scrutiny of life, its circumstances, and how one is connected to these by Time. If one can become aware of oneself as beyond this transient world, as a Being~Beyond-Time, then one will know something of the Peace necessary to quell the anger-samskara.

Be kind. It is a white light that shines through the crack in the ceiling of passion: kindness. Focus upon it. Be not distracted by passions forces, nay, BE READY for them! You know that LIFE with bring forth tests of your Patience, Fortitude and Kindness. Be prepared to work in sincerity, or you shall reap what you sow – you know?**

2 Jesus said, "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will rule over all."

**When ye shall seek, ye shall need seek much – there are many veils of illusion and darkness, lies and ignorance covering the one who is enmeshed in the world, as born of Man. When you find the source of evil is also lodged within, ye shall be disturbed indeed. Reckoning the inner and the outer as one, how shall ye not be effected espying both evil and good in the outer world, as well as the inner, and the twain reflected in the Mind and Heart. When one comes to comprehend the marvel of GOD as the Pervader of Creation and Guide of each Soul, yet reckon that GOD gives us the taste of being the First in Creation, the Primordial Human, one will marvel indeed at the feeling that one has attained unity with the One. When you come to find a certain peace in the mystery of God as the Supreme Arbiter and also as the Granter of free-will, you shall by the Power of Love, by the Gift of Immortality, by the Superb Power of Insight rule, as a servant of the Divine-All, praise be its Name, which is Holy, now and forever:
